Pendry Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of Pendry West Hollywood, its first hotel in Los Angeles.
Developed in partnership with real estate investor AECOM Capital and full-service real estate firm Combined Properties, the property comprises 149 guestrooms and 40 Pendry Residences West Hollywood by Montage Hotels & Resorts, The Britely private membership club, and a multi-purpose live entertainment venue, together with a screening room; bowling alley; spa and fitness centre, and a curated art collection featuring works from emerging artists and acclaimed international names. The opening also heralds the return of celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck to West Hollywood, with the debut of Merois (pictured below) and Ospero.
“We are pleased to debut our Pendry hotel in West Hollywood with our partners at AECOM Capital and Combined Properties. We have assembled an extremely talented team – all of whom are intimately connected to the project and the Los Angeles market,” says Alan J. Fuerstman, founder, Chairman and CEO of Montage International. “The vibrancy of the city, coupled with the incredible programming and experiences guests and locals will have access to, will be a great addition to Sunset Boulevard and the city of West Hollywood.”
Occupying a full block along the iconic Sunset Strip at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Olive Drive, Pendry West Hollywood has been designed by EYRC Architects and executed by Cuningham Group Architecture, while bold interiors by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio celebrate laidback California glamour.
“Sunset Boulevard has always held a special place in my heart,” says Wolfgang Puck on his return to The City of Angels, where he made his first restaurant venture. “I’m so excited to be back with these new concepts.”
Operating alongside the hotel are 40 private homes with views of Downtown Los Angeles and Beverly Hills. Owners have access to exclusive amenities and personalised services including a dedicated staff, in-residence dining by Wolfgang Puck and a private entrance, as well as a rooftop pool, fitness centre and lounge, and a boardroom, wine tasting room and outdoor garden deck. Residences feature two-to four-bedroom floor plans – ranging from 2,000 – 4,500ft2 – and include private outdoor spaces with terraces of up to 3,400ft2.
Michael Fuerstman, co-founder and Creative Director at Pendry Hotels & Resorts, adds: “West Hollywood is undergoing a cultural revival, and through our art, design, culinary, wellness and entertainment offerings, we have created an exclusive guest experience unlike anything in greater LA. We’re passionate about designing a community for locals by locals and envision the hotel as a hospitality and entertainment anchor in the city.”
