Maisons Pariente has announced the opening date of its first Paris hotel, set for June 2023. Le Grand Mazarin will find home in the heart of Paris’ Marais neighbourhood, a unique property that will add to the group’s existing portfolio of boutique hotels.
Interior architect Martin Brudnizki has restored the property – three historical buildings that date back to the 14th century – to its original grandeur. Now comprising 50 rooms and 11 suites, Le Grand Mazarin has been designed as a space that will embody the joie de vivre of Paris.
With Brudnizki’s eclectic guiding vision, the hotel is a tribute to both Parisian heritage and French classicism. Across its guestrooms, restaurant, two bars, indoor pool and hammam, the property brims with a flamboyant yet refined energy. Vintage objects and carefully selected furniture create luxe spaces in which guests are set to experience the Maisons Pariente way of living.
“This is a very emotional moment for us, the culmination of a wonderful project that has been close to our hearts for several years. The first five-star urban hotel of Maisons Pariente in Paris, our home town for as long as we can remember,” say President Leslie Kouhana and Artistic Director Kimberly Cohen. “The Grand Mazarin embodies the quintessential spirit of our hotels, that subtle blend of elegance and warm simplicity that is common to all our addresses. But this new place is much more than a hotel, we have thought of it as a destination in its own right, where you can meet up, share special moments, where there is always something going on. A unique place in Paris.”
