First Look: Drift Nashville
Drift Nashville is set to open its doors in March 2024 – the fourth property to be added to the Drift Hotels portfolio.
Located in east Nashville, the 87-key hotel will be home to multi-room suites, a ground level pool with neighboring cabanas, three food and beverage concepts, and a penthouse with views of Music City. TMC Hospitality has collaborated with Nashville-based firm Dryden to breathe new life into a former inn originally built in 1966, preserving its Mid-Century architecture while introducing modern interiors.
Interiors are courtesy of Dryden in partnership with Nashville hospitality talent Alexis Soler, and balance the Drift brand’s Baja flair with warm colours such as rust, and materials like leather, concrete and terra cotta. Both the shared spaces and guestrooms celebrate the locale, dressed by local art and handmade furniture by artisans including Lucid Woodworks, Sick Dye and Juliana Morgan Alvarez.
Drift Nashville’s F&B outlets, helmed by Soler, include café Dawn, where craft coffee and espresso beverages pair with small plates. The Sun Room is home to floor-to-ceiling east and west facing windows, a golden tiled bar by Red Rock Tileworks and an abundance of comfortable lounge seating, and will serve up a range of organic soda-based cocktails. Small plates such as oysters, patatas bravas and roasted beets will complement the beverage menu. Guests who exit one of the bifold doors will discover a terrace overlooking the hotel’s pool and garden area, which features communal tables, terracotta two tops, towering fireplaces and – come spring 2024 – Poolside at Drift, the hotel’s al fresco bar.
