Faena reveals Miami Penthouses
Alan Faena and Len Blavatnik have unveiled The Residences at Faena Hotel Miami Beach, a series of 12 penthouses designed by film director Baz Luhrmann and Academy Award winning costume designer Catherine Martin.
The Residences are an integral part of Faena District Miami Beach, a new accommodation environment anchored in cultural experiences. Featuring 12 fully furnished penthouses located on the top floors of the re-envisioned Saxony Hotel, each property boasts views of the Atlantic Ocean and are designed to complement the aesthetic of the hotel. There are 4 1-bedroom units, 5 2-bedroom units, and 2 3-bedroom units in addition to the penthouse, which features 6 bedrooms. The Residences feature a private entrance off of the hotel porte-cochere.
Luhrmann comments: “Faena Miami Beach is a place of art, of music, of theatre, of food and wine, and of purpose. A place to renew the body and detox the soul, a place set amidst gardens tumbling and secret, with architecture both classic and modern. Faena Miami Beach is a place like no other.”
Luhrmann and Martin have created a design narrative for the hotel and residential interiors that defines the hotel’s bold aesthetic, recalling the glamour of the 1950’s with an Art Deco appeal, old world grandeur, hardwood floors and Faena red velvet. The pair has created the Deco-inspired custom fabrics, furnishings and millwork for each residence, which are individually unique in layout.
The hotel features works by artists including Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons, Alberto Garutti, Gonzalo Fuenmayor, Manuel Ameztoy and Juan Gatti.
The hotel’s kitchen, Los Fuegos by Francis Mallmann is the chef’s only restaurant in the United States, offering a contemporary take on the Argentine dining experience. Faena has additionally collaborated with award-winning chef Paul Qui, who debuts Pao by Paul Qui at the Dome – Qui’s first restaurant outside of Texas – that will offer the chef’s brand of modern Asian cuisine. Executive chef Gabriel Ask oversees all food & beverage, as well as room service. Each floor will offer a signature Faena butler.
Alan Faena comments: “Faena Miami Beach has created a new paradigm of the Miami lifestyle, one where design, refined hospitality and culture converge.”
Residents of Faena Hotel Miami Beach will enjoy privileged access to the hotel’s amenities, including in-room spa services, housekeeping and turn-down service, room service, resident concierge and priority access to the hotel’s pool and beach cabanas.
