Ennismore eyes Asia expansion for Delano
Ennismore has announced plans to debut its Maison Delano brand in Asia. Opening in 2026, Maison Delano Seoul will bring the group’s trademark Delano experience to the Gangnam district.
The property will comprise 81 guestrooms and 52 branded residences, together with a range of F&B experiences, a members’ club and a sunken garden courtyard. There is also set to be an indoor and outdoor infinity rooftop pool overlooking the tree canopy of Gangnam Park, while a spa and gym will further increase the hotel’s wellness offering.
The design meanwhile will be rooted in crafted simplicity, using natural materials with a focus on uncomplicated compositions and the flow of movement to create a choreography of discovery as guests journey through the hotel.
In a reinterpretation of the traditional Korean Pavilion, architects have created a park façade concept, cocooning the entire building and sunken courtyard in trees and greenery to generate a connection with nature as it flows in and around the structure.
“Maison Delano is making its way to Asia to cater to a growing number of modern travellers who seek a sophisticated getaway and elevated experiences with creative energy like no others,” says Chadi Farhat, Brand COO for Delano and Head of Middle East & Asia Pacific at Ennismore. “We are incredibly excited to bring the Delano brand to Seoul, and curate a unique experience for guests in a city which is so rich in culture.”
In advance of the Seoul opening, the first Maison Delano is due to open in Paris in March 2023.
