DoubleTree by Hilton announces launch in Ireland
Set to open in early February, the hotel’s interior will be revamped by Dublin-based Nikki O’Donnell Architects (NODA).

“This deal is also indicative of a renewed buoyancy in the Irish hospitality market, visible both in the strong performance of our existing portfolio and the confidence of owners and developers to invest.”
Centrally located on the banks of the River Liffey, the 138-room hotel will feature two restaurants and a bar, a 24-hour business zone and a split-level fitness centre. Events space totalling 410m2 will be capable of hosting up to 240 guests.

Meanwhile Stephen Mulligan, UK & Ireland director of Martinez Hotels & Resorts, said the company was delighted to be collaborating with DoubleTree by Hilton.
“There were many aspects of The Morrison’s identity we wanted to maintain when taking the decision to convert to a branded hotel,” he said.
“DoubleTree by Hilton hugely impressed us with its track record of converting established properties to its globally recognised brand, whilst ensuring a real sense of individual flavour in every location.”
Patrick Joyce has been appointed General Manager of the hotel, having joined from his previous position as general manager of the Lyrath Estate Hotel in Co Kilkenny.
Hilton Worldwide currently operates four hotels in the Republic of Ireland, all located in the city of Dublin.
