Dominvs to open Holiday Inn Manchester
Hotel operator Dominvs Hospitality is to open a new build property in the heart of Manchester in April 2016. Operating under a franchise agreement with InterContinental Hotels Group, Holiday Inn Manchester City Centre is located next to Piccadilly Station, one of the country’s major transport hubs. The 298-room hotel will feature Holiday Inn’s signature Open Lobby concept, high specification accommodation and cutting edge meeting facilities.
Currently operating five hotels – located in Scotland, Durham and South Yorkshire – with a further five developments in the pipeline, Dominvs Hospitality is one of the fastest growing hotel companies in the country and is building a national portfolio in key British cities. The new Manchester property occupies a prime location in Piccadilly, the heart of Manchester’s city centre; an area going through a significant regeneration and investment.
The 298-bedroom, four-star property will incorporate the latest trends in hotel design and cutting edge technology, including super-fast free Wi-Fi. In recognition of its location, some of the hotel’s guestrooms and conference facilities have been named after famous Manchester icons including Noel and Liam Gallagher and George Best, referencing the city’s heritage and distinct cultural identity.
A key focal point for the hotel will be Holiday Inn’s signature Open Lobby concept. The relaxed, flowing space combines reception, restaurant, lounge, business centre and Starbucks coffee shop, creating a flexible environment where guests can eat, drink, work, meet, relax and socialise. Meanwhile, 24-hour dining facilities will offer hotel guests the option to eat “what they like, when they like, where they like” as part of the hotel’s flexible approach to reflect 21st century lifestyles. From light bites to international favourites, the menu will offer a range of modern classic dishes typical of a Holiday Inn.
From Standard and Executive rooms to top-of-the range suites, all of the hotel’s guestrooms will be highly specified featuring modern décor. Additionally all rooms will be equipped with refreshing power showers, DVD/CD players and 40 inch LCD Smart HD televisions with cable channels. Two suites are named after local sporting heroes; The George Best Suite celebrating the Manchester United legend along with Manchester City’s Colin Bell.
From intimate get-togethers and board meetings to large conferences for 200 guests, the hotel’s 12 meeting rooms will be the ideal setting for any event. The facilities will include an impressive terrace area and spacious breakout space as well as state-of-the-art technology including Bose sound system, Barco ClickShare wireless presentation and integrated user friendly touch panels.
Again in homage to Manchester’s heritage the meeting rooms will be named after local music icons including Factory Records’ nightclub impresario and owner Tony Wilson, Stone Roses guitarist John Squires, pop music icon, Morrissey, the Gallagher brothers and Ian Curtis from Joy Division. Other hotel facilities include a state of the art gym, full service business centre and terrace area. Dominvs
