Deutsche expands into Tunisia

Deutsche Hospitality has announced that it is adding a further country to its growing portfolio. From the second quarter of 2017, the brand will open the doors of the Steigenberger Hotel Kantaoui Bay and the Jaz Hotel Tour Khalef in Sousse, Tunisia, marking the third African country in which the group will operate.

The Steigenberger Hotel Kantaoui Bay will be a five-star property with 365 guestooms and suites and six restaurants and bars serving up a range of different cuisines. A three-storey Thalassotherapy Centre will cater to the needs of guests seeking to unwind alongside a wide choice of beauty treatments and massages, three salt water swimming pools, a sauna, a hammam, a whirlpool and a gym. Further facilities will include two outdoor pools, an indoor pool that will be heated in winter, a children’s pool, shops, a tennis court, additional sporting activities and a conference area.

The four-star Jaz Hotel Tour Khalef will offer 570 guestrooms and suites as well as eight restaurants and bars with a wide choice of national and international dishes. The resort will also include a salt-water indoor pool, a salt-water outdoor pool, an outdoor sweet water pool, a spa and gym area, thalassotherapy facilities, a conference room and a recreation area.

Zohra Driss has been announced as contract partner, and Deutsche Hospitality has concluded a management agreement for both hotels.
