Dakota Hotels to debut in Newcastle
Boutique hotel group Dakota Hotels is set for expansion with the opening of Dakota Newcastle in Spring 2025.
Located on the city’s Quayside, the hotel has been designed by Greg Brooks of Brooks By Design and KPP Architects.
The waterfront property will house 118 guestrooms, including a selection of suites. A hallmark of the Dakota experience, The Grand Deluxe is set to be the city’s largest suite, complete with two bedrooms, lounge and dressing areas, a steam shower, fireplace and views across the Tyne.
At the heart of the hotel will be The Grill, a sophisticated dining destination defined by sleek decor and a menu of timeless classics, while additional public spaces will include a bar, as well as the Champagne Room, a dedicated events space and a Cigar Terrace complete with a humidor.
The property will feature a range of versatile meeting spaces, including a private dining room for up to eight guests, the Boardroom for 10, the Library for 30 and the Meeting Room for 60.
“I am incredibly excited to lead the opening of Dakota Newcastle on the iconic Quayside this spring,” says Mark Spanton, General Manager of Dakota Newcastle. “With its stunning waterfront location and dynamic cultural scene, this city is the perfect setting for our signature brand of luxury hospitality. We look forward to welcoming guests and delivering an exceptional experience that Dakota is renowned for.”
