Curio Collection by Hilton debuts in Southeast Asia
SAii Lagoon Maldives has officially opened its doors, marking the debut of Curio Collection by Hilton in Southeast Asia and Hilton’s third property in the Maldives.
The 198-key hotel comprises a mix of guestrooms and villas – including overwater pool accommodation – all of which have been designed with a bright, modern, eclectic design that takes cues from the archipelago’s maritime heritage and is decorated with natural textures, repurposed driftwood and nautical-inspired colours.
The F&B programme includes: Miss Olive Oyl, a poolside Mediterranean seafood grill and bar; Mr Tomyam, a Thai-fusion restaurant with an open kitchen and outdoor dining areas; and Bean/Co, which serves coffee, tea and grab-and-go snacks. Other features of the resort include an ocean-view infinity pool, fitness centre, spa, junior beach club and camp, and direct access to the Café del Mar beach club.
“The Maldives is a dream destination for global travellers, and we are thrilled to pair its tropical charm with Curio Collection’s spirit of discovery,” comments Mark Nogal, Global Head of Curio Collection by Hilton. “Saii Lagoon Maldives is a breathtaking resort and guests are guaranteed memorable experiences in one of the most beautiful destinations in the world.”
Alan Watts, President of Hilton Asia Pacific, adds: “With the launch of Saii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton, we are looking to further deepen The Hilton Effect in the Maldives and continue to set new benchmarks for hospitality through innovation.”
Hilton also operates Conrad Maldives Rangali Island and the Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi in the region.
