Como Group heads to Burgundy
Como Group has announced the latest addition to its global portfolio; Como Le Montrachet will open April 2023 in the heart of the Burgundy countryside, one of the world’s most prestigious wine regions.
Previously Hotel le Montrachet, Como Le Montrachet is a reimagined 19th century ‘place du village’ inn located in the village of Puligny-Montrachet. Spread across three heritage buildings around the village square, the 30-key property features designs by Paola Navone, who also designed Como Castello del Nero in Tuscany.
Navone’s redesign of the hotel is elegant in its translation of the ‘esprit du lieu’, complemented with subtle contemporary touches. The overall colour palette is inspired by the tones of the Burgundy countryside, with custom-designed furnishings specially curated for the hotel.
In keeping with the gastronomic traditions of the area, Le Montrachet Restaurant will reopen under the direction of Executive Chef Romain Versino, who will oversee a menu that changes with the seasons and showcases produce from local farmers and suppliers. The property will also draw on its wine-related location to provide guest tasting and learning experiences in the Montrachet vineyard and Grand Cru vineyards nearby.
“What differentiates COMO as a global lifestyle brand is our ability to develop our brand presence in truly unique locations,” states Olivier Jolivet, CEO of Como. “This is the case with COMO Le Montrachet.”
