Co-living brand Vonder's new hotel in London

Co-living brand Vonder sets sights on London

Global co-living brand Vonder has announced plans to launch two community-driven hotels in London – one in Earls Court and the other in Paddington, with the former due to launch in May and the latter in July.

Both properties will provide an alternative, affordable option for those looking to reside in the British capital for short and long-term periods, whether that be for business, studying or leisure. In total, the two hotels will offer 95 guestrooms across four buildings and will accommodate stays for one to four people.

Vonder Earls Court will span across three buildings, including 27-28 Philbeach Gardens, which comprises 38 guestrooms and a communal café. The second building is located at 109 Warwick Road and features 19 rooms and a gym, while 60 Warwick Road completes Earls Court development with its 16 rooms and private communal garden, which will host community events – including wellness sessions such as yoga, fitness and meditation, as well as music concerts, open-air parties and cinema nights – in line with the Covid guidelines.

Vonder Paddington meanwhile will be situated at 14 Devonshire Terrace and offers 22 rooms. Both locations provide easy access to transport links and are within 10 minutes of central London via tube, rail or bus.

Characterised by modern and colourful designs, guestrooms will feature their own bathrooms, kitchenettes, TVs and access to speedy Wi-Fi. Similar to Vonder’s other co-living projects across the globe, guests will have access to all hotel amenities located less than 20 minutes away between each of the buildings.

Communal areas have been designed by upcoming British artist Jenny Beard, who was invited to create bright and bold murals across all buildings, taking cues from the unique fabric of the districts in which they reside, while Vonder has also partnered with wellness brand Rituals to provide guests with luxury toiletries.

“Hotels have evolved in recent years and we have recognised a gap in the market where people are wanting to book for extended stays but not commit to long-term rental contracts,” says Vonder CEO Tomer Bercoviz. “There is an opportunity for our hotels to provide a comfortable and safe temporary home for guests wanting to stay in London for longer periods of time, with access to great amenities and a diverse global community.

“During the course of the pandemic, we have seen a growing global trend with hotels shifting their concept to extended stays. Our new business venture works in parallel to this, and alongside our wider co-living portfolio, by providing more of a bespoke longer stay solution to international travellers. London is a fantastic destination to be launching our first hotels, and we look forward to welcoming our first guests.”

The properties will join locations across London, Berlin and Dublin, with sites in Dubai and the US due soon.
