Club Med to open in Ho Tram

Club Med has announced plans to open Club Med Ho Tram, a strategic partnership with Dynasty Investments, marking its entry into Vietnam.

Located in Vung Tau Province, the property is set to open in 2021 close to Ho Chi Minh City’s upcoming Long Thanh International Airport.

Set amongst 13 hectares, Club Med Ho Tram features 300 guestrooms and suites, restaurants serving international cuisine and á la carte dishes, meeting facilities, a private beach, and over 30 activities including the brand’s signature flying trapeze.

Xavier Desaulles, CEO of Club Med East and South Asia Pacific, comments: “Vietnam amazed us in many ways – the breathtaking natural beauty and unique heritage showcases the raw potential of the destination. We are excited to venture into a new market and introduce our expertise in creating amazing experiential holidays to the destination. With our partner, Dynasty Investments, we are confident to grow Club Med Ho Tram into the region’s premium holiday destination.”

In line with Club Med’s sustainability and green initiatives, the resort will be built to the standards of the Green Globe certification. The group has undertaken initiatives to preserve the natural conditions of its resort locations, and has received Green Globe awards for its eight resorts in Club Med East and South Asia Pacific.

Managing Partner of Dynasty Investments Group, Olivier Do Ngo, adds: “We are thrilled to bring the Club Med brand to Vietnam and have no doubt that its world class, unique, all-inclusive hospitality concept combined to Vietnam’s natural beauty, rich history and culture will make this a one-of-a-kind tourism offering for both the domestic and international market.”

Club Med Ho Tram adds to the group’s expansion across Asia, following Club Med Ceylon, the brand’s first resort in Sri Lanka, and a third property in Lombok. Developments beyond East and South Asia Pacific include the launch of the first two Club Med Joyview resorts in China, Club Med Tomamu Hokkaido in late 2017, and plans to open 15 new resorts worldwide and refurbish a further nine over the next three years.
