Cheval Residences to open new Tower of London property
The property, slated to open in 2014, will comprise 159 apartments. Of these, 97 will be serviced, 61 will be non-serviced long-term let residences and the remaining accommodations will be used for staff.
Interior design company Forme UK has celebrated the character of the natural and historic environment, whilst reflecting the area’s new lease of life through contemporary décor.
The decor throughout the apartments is a fusion of British and European influences. Full height windows and private glass balconies allow unobstructed views of the Thames, the Shard and Tower Bridge. Original London-inspired artwork continues the metropolitan theme, while Dada kitchens and Hansgrohe bathroom fixtures provide a minimalist luxury.
The property will also feature two serviced penthouses, boasting double height ceilings and retractable walls, for flexibility within the space.
Hand-painted murals, stone mosaics and a striking glass canopy over the entrance create a sense of timelessness in the lobby. Floor-to-ceiling photos depicting the construction of the Tower Bridge, moody images of the docks, and children playing on the beach that used to lie at the base of the Tower of London complete the effect.
The ground floor of the development will house 862 square metres of retail and restaurant space retail and restaurant space, available either as a whole or in units from February 2014.
