Krause Group has revealed that Casa di Langa, a new sustainable luxury hotel, is slated to open in Spring 2021.

Situated in the heart of northern Italy’s Piedmont region, overlooking over 100 acres of working vineyards and rolling hills, the 39-key boutique hotel combines traditional Piedmontese design with sustainable practices thoughtfully threaded throughout the guest experience.

Each accommodation features a spacious private terrace, relaxation area and a spa-inspired bathroom with rain showers and Le Labo toiletries.

Inspired by traditional regional architecture, two Milan-based design teams led the hotel’s design concept – the architectural design was overseen by GaS Studio, while Parisotte + Formenton Architetti led the interior design.

The design duo behind P+F created a property with refined Italian simplicity where the soft, muted colours of the property’’s natural environment are reflected in the hotel’s rich textiles and locally sourced materials.

Using a sustainable approach to architecture and design, the duo draw inspiration from the hazelnut orchard, vegetable garden and the views of the vineyards to integrate these natural elements in their design.

Installed throughout the property and grounds, Casa di Langa features an engaging selection of world-class fine art showcasing notable Italian and American artists.

The hotel’s F&B main venue, Faula Ristorante, serves dishes based on the local harvest with attention focused on sustainable agriculture and conservation practices. The menu, designed by Chef Manuel Bouchard, will  focus on traditional cuisine and innovative creations utilising local ingredients sourced from their own gardens and local producers. Fàula, meaning ‘tale’ in local Langhe dialect, is an homage to the region’s age-old tradition of families and friends spending quality time together sharing stories.

Meanwhile, at Sorì Cocktail bar, guests can indulge in wines from around the world and neighbouring vineyards, including rare bottles from its sister wineries, Vietti and Enrico Serafino.

A deep respect for the natural world and its sustainable future is ingrained in every aspect of the hotel. From a commitment to carbon neutrality to the use of 100% recycled water for irrigation, geothermal heating throughout, zero single-use plastic, PV cells, and solar panels. This deep passion for sustainable practices can be seen in every aspect of the design, construction, and operation of the resort.

“From our first visit to Piedmont, my wife and I were struck by the grandeur of the landscape, the unforgettable food and wine, and, most of all, the generosity of the people,” shares Kyle Krause, Chairman and CEO of the Krause Group. “For Casa di Langa, our goal has always been to create an eco-friendly space that reflects that warm spirit of the region in a way that is both elegant and accessible. With this hotel, I’m proud to have the opportunity to share the Piedmont we love so much with our friends and guests from all over the world.”
