Boringdon Hall to expand wellness offerings
16th century manor hotel Boringdon Hall has unveiled plans for a host of new wellness rooms and facilities. The Devon hotel is set to add 12 wellness rooms, two wellness suites and an additional relaxation room to its roster, cementing its position as a hub for wellbeing.
Each new space has been designed to envelop guests in feelings of calm and tranquillity, with natural colour palettes and textures inspired by the manor’s grounds and countryside location. Lighting design has been envisioned to create a serene ambiance, whilst large floor-to-ceiling windows will bring the outside in, flooding rooms with light. In addition, walls in the new spaces will be home to living moss, sustainably contributing to a clean, fresh space.
“We wanted to carry the design and interiors from the spa through to the wellness rooms and suites to evoke a sense of calm and relaxation, drawing inspiration from the grounds,” says Laura Cameron, Operations Director at Philema Hospitality Management. “As they are nestled into the side of Dartmoor, we have pulled the colours and textures of nature into the rooms using natural materials and natural colours.”
Equipped with robes and spa products from Gaia Skincare, the hotel’s new additions will also offer an array of further health and wellness amenities including yoga mats, literature wellness care kits and nutritious-led refreshments. The two wellness suites meanwhile will feature rain showers and private outdoor spa baths.
Guests of the new rooms and suites will have access to Boringdon’s spa, Gaia, including its indoor pool, outdoor hydrotherapy pool, crystal salt steam room, herbal sauna and outdoor hot tubs.
