Benoy to design hotel for Riyadh development
Architecture firm Benoy has announced that it will be responsible for bringing to life the new Mondrian Riyadh Al Malga Hotel and Residences, set to launch in 2026.
Located in the heart of Riyadh’s Al Malga Village, the hotel will form part of a broader development that will include residential, retail and workplace elements. Benoy will be responsible for designing the 200-key hotel, as well as the façade and interior design of the development’s mall, working closely with Omrania, the lead consultant on the project.
The new hotel will be home to three brand-new restaurants, serving up an array of international cuisine, while guests will also have the opportunity to relax in wellness spaces, or take advantage of the hotel’s event spaces.
“We wanted to bring something bold and sculptural to this scheme,” says Zaynib Khan, Senior Associate Director at Benoy. “The hotel’s innovative design resonates with the brand’s core values, celebrating an expansive imagination. A stimulating facade of bronze-like louvres sweeps around the building, forming a dynamic wrap that exposes public dining spaces and landscaped terraces. The hotel plays a vital role in creating a new cultural scene within the Al Malga Village proposal, acting as a beacon for visitors and customers.”
The Mondrian Riyadh Al Malga Hotel and Residences will be developed as part of the mixed-use Al Malga Urban Village, in partnership with owner Olayan Financing Company (OFC).
