Hotel and spa group Barons Eden is set to reopen Hoar Cross Hall in April following a £14million renovation.

Marking the company’s largest ever investment, the 150-year-old property has seen 97 rooms, a full-service spa and communal areas all receive significant upgrades. The objective behind the overhaul, which spanned over two years, was to update the building in line with its luxury offering while maintaining its rich history.

“This is a significant investment for the Barons Eden group, as we wanted to ensure Hoar Cross Hall, as one of the biggest spa resorts in Europe, both met and exceeded expectations,” says Edward Law, Director at Barons Eden. “We are expecting a surge in demand following a period of such uncertainty, and are already seeing an increase in bookings for the summer months and beyond. We know our guests are looking to treat themselves to an indulgent experience closer to home, as well as focusing on their health and wellbeing.”

In addition to the updated décor, the hotel now features freestanding baths in a selection of bedrooms, with some also boasting hot tubs on the private exterior terraces. And brand-new for 2021 is the Royal Suite Experience, which offers a private butler, cocktails served by a personal barman, and an overnight stay for up to eight people in Hoar Cross Hall’s most opulent suite. Guests will also experience fine dining in the Grand Ballroom and full use of the spa facilities, including a saltwater vitality pool, hydrotherapy pool, aqua detox, aqua massage, sensory showers, cold plunge pool, Nordic heat and ice suite, snooze room and sanctum.

Rounding out the upgrades is a new spa menu across the hotel’s 41 treatment rooms, together with the replenishment of its 43 acres of manicured grounds, sprawling woodland and kitchen gardens.
