Banyan Tree to open Cassia Phuket
Banyan Tree Hotels & Resort has announced it will open its first hotel residence in Thailand in October 2015. A new hospitality concept combining hotel with serviced apartments, Banyan Tree’s newest brand, Cassia, will provide 221 new residences within the group’s integrated beach resort of Laguna Phuket. With colourful street art and customised living and dining options, Cassia Phuket looks to immerse guests in the local culture and environment.
Cassia Phuket will provide a choice of one and two-bedroom apartments, each with a separate living room and fully-equipped kitchen. Many will feature a loft space with views of the lagoon, ocean or park.
The new hotel will offer a wide selection of facilities including pools, a gym, and touch-screen concierge. The dining concepts for Cassia Phuket will be kept casual – Market 23 will combine a café with a mini convenience mart, whilst the adjacent Street Bar will serve cocktails. The focus of the F&B provision at Cassia Phuket will be on dine-in options, with the hotel providing a home delivery service for local restaurants and street vendors.
There is a similar focus on convenience in the paperless check-in process, and the pre-arrival booking options provided by the hotel’s website. This facility makes apartment packages, airport transfers, spa and room add-ons – as well as housekeeping and tour packages – all bookable online.
