Atzaró Group is opening a new safari lodge in Botswana, located at the heart of the Delta’s meandering waterways.
Welcoming guests from May 2024, Atzaró Okavango Camp will comprise 12 suites and two private villas, all with plunge pools and elevated ‘star beds’ for enhanced nighttime views. Each suite also enjoys a private deck overlooking the lagoon. Interiors feature parquet flooring, Mid-Century furnishings and antiques, while all accomodation includes en-suite bathrooms, an outdoor bath and shower.
The F&B offer at the new camp includes Palm Bar, a fine dining restaurant and a wine cellar, while additional amenities will take the form of a fire-lit boma – a sacred space dedicated to the region’s previous generations – curated art gallery and boutique.
Wellness amenities meanwhile will comprise a gym, yoga shala, 20m pool and a space for rejuvenating treatments.
The new lodge from Atzaró Group is working with anti-poaching patrols to safeguard the area’s diverse wildlife. Conversation of existing trees on the site has also been important, paired with other sustainable efforts such as the operation of an on-site solar farm, and a reverse osmosis treatment plant to purify water.
