Acro Suites to open in Crete this April
Acro Suites will open its doors this April on the rocky cliffside of Mononaftis Bay in Crete, bringing the northern coast of the island a range of new accommodations from suites burrowed into the cliff and furnished with natural materials to chic villas with private infinity pools and panoramas of the Cretan Sea.
Inviting guests to practice self-love and rejuvenate with Mother Nature, the eco-friendly haven is anchored by a bamboo yoga ‘shala’ – a Sanskrit word meaning home – offering daily yoga and meditation classes, as well as hosting talks from yoga gurus and fitness instructors to amplify the guest wellbeing experience.
Moreover, the boutique’s Bath House restores the body, mind and spirit by way of an authentic byzantine hammam, which taps into the concept of rejuvenation and purifying the soul. Here, a dry sauna, outdoor pool and heated pool are accompanied by therapies including Acro Bath House Rituals, Biologique Recherche tailor-made facial treatments, as well as Holistic Wellness days. The modern Fitness House adds to the offer, affording views of the Cretan Sea and serving homemade smoothies for fuelling up after cardio sessions.
Inspired by farm-to-table handpicked gastronomy, dining options include Cremnos, a restaurant serving traditional Greek cuisines with handpicked, organic and fresh ingredients from small farms around the island. New to the property this year, Umi restaurant will also offer a selection of Nikkei cuisine. Elsewhere there is an all-day pool bar and lounge named The Circle, offering drinks inspired by Mediterranean botanical herbs and crafted by on-site mixologists, as well as freshly squeezed juices made from local produce.
