Pullman Sydney Penrith Guestroom

Accor launches Pullman Sydney Penrith

Pullman Sydney Penrith has opened alongside the Western Sydney Conference Centre, situated within a $110m precinct in Western Sydney.

Architecture and design studio Turner has delivered a striking design that pays homage to the local region. The fluid, ribbon-like shape of the building is inspired by the nearby Nepean River, with polished metal ceiling panels across the underside of the building’s roof creating an effect that mimics light bouncing off the river’s surface.

Landscaping across the development serves to bring guests closer to nature, designed by landscape architecture firm Oculus to follow the curvilinear theme of the building. Planting is predominantly native, with over 75 trees and 8,000 plants maintained using sustainable watering practices.

Public spaces in Accor’s new Pullman hotel bring to life designs firmly grounded in the locale. For instance, the lobby lounge features a striking sandstone wall that is punctuated with commissioned paintings by a range of artists, including Aboriginal Australian artist Gloria Petyarre.

Pullman Sydney Penrith Reception

The hotel comprises 153 guestrooms, designed by Turner and all equipped with smart integrated controls and a digital compendium. One of the first of its kind in Australia, guests can access a bespoke Sleep Therapy Menu on their in-room tablet, allowing them to order face and eye masks, aromatherapy pillow sprays, soothing teas, and choose from an extensive pillow menu. The technology also allows rooms to be customised with pre-programmed selections of background sounds, colours and room lighting settings.

“With its prime location in Penrith, guests can expect a unique experience that combines the tranquillity of the Blue Mountains with the vibrant energy of Sydney,” says Sarah Derry, Accor Pacific Chief Executive Officer. “We are confident that Pullman Sydney Penrith will elevate the hospitality landscape in the region and provide an unforgettable stay for both business and leisure travellers.”

The hotel’s fitness and wellness centre, developed in league with the High-Performance team from the Penrith Panthers, is equipped with technology that includes Watt bikes, Woodway treadmills and an Olympic lifting platform.

The hotel operates with sustainability in mind, being completely free of single-use plastics and working with local providers where possible.
