25hours hotel Zurich Langstrasse opens doors
25hours Hotel Zurich Langstrasse has opened its doors in Northern Switzerland, featuring a design by Berlin-based Studio Aisslinger. Built around the concept of a “pocket universe”, the hotel comprises distinctive amenities including a freestanding sheet metal pop-up kiosk, brass sheet module bar, co-working space and vinyl corner.
170 guestrooms, in M, L and XL sizes, have been designed in a welcoming collage style, and feature wooden boards lining the space which also serve as wash tables, shower shelfs, bedside tables and benches. Further guestroom configurations include the Red Light, Bel Etage and Penthouse suites.
Elsewhere, the hotel’s innovate pawnshop element will offer guests accommodation in exchange for a vintage or design object, as evaluated by curators. Operating under a payment in kind system, the Leihaus Zimmer guestroom will contribute to the wider scheme with the growing collection of items displayed permanently within the property.
Meanwhile, the Flintlounge offers a library, glass showcase curated by Tim Brauns, and custom Pin modular sofas by Tina Bunyaprasit, whilst the Cinchona Bar consists of a seating staircase, high back leather Bench sofa, and Studio Aisslinger edition tiled metal tables.
Neni, the property’s 210-seat restaurant, serves up Israeli cuisine within a space defined by South American colours, and high-quality textiles and textures combined with raw concrete, scaffolding, plants and coloured mirror surfaces. Cappellini has also designed a new version of the hard-shell Juli Chair for the space.
Lastly, the Reset Space, designed for soft meetings, reading or relaxing, features two greenhouse sofa lounges, a vinyl player and record collection and a laid back atmosphere that counteracts the tone of the busy surrounding Langstrasse.
