25hours Hotels set for Italy debut
The 25hours Hotel Company is set to unveil a new 173-room hotel in Florence next summer, following the brand’s recent opening in Paris. The property will be located on Piazza San Paolino, steps from Piazza di Santa Maria Novella in the Tuscan capital.
Italian designer Paola Navone has been tasked with bringing the project to life and will combine the traditional with the contemporary, celebrating the wanderings of exiled poet Dante Alighieri using his iconic piece The Divine Comedy as the basis for her storytelling.
Meanwhile, local architecture firm Genius Loci Architettura will be responsible for renovating the three existing buildings and integrating them into a single complex. The listed group of buildings span an area of 10,750m2and will set a new standard for the neighbourhood, with plans to incorporate a number of Florentine businesses.
The opening of 25hours Hotel Piazza San Paolino highlights the company’s continued expansion plans in partnership with Accor hotels, with future openings in Dubai and Copenhagen slated for 2020 and 2021 respectively.
