Il Salviatino transforms greenhouse into spa for new wellness offer
Il Salviatino has unveiled a number of transformations, including refreshed rooms and suites, and a new spa and wellness area.
The retreat, frequented by artists like Salvador Dali and Italian poet Gabriele D’Annunzio, resides within a 15th-century villa in the foothills overlooking Florence.
Its 39 rooms have undergone refurbishment to feature trompe l’oeil artistry, inkeeping with the property’s history. Rooms are complete with Italian linen and expansive windows, as well as dual-sinks, deep baths and Diptyque amenities.
The new Spa at Il Salviatino, nestled within the original greenhouse in the gardens, features a vichy shower, infrared sauna, hammam, steam room, traditional sauna, heated plunge pool and an ice bath. The relaxation area has been converted from a quintessential greenhouse into a serene space furnished with comfortable seating, featuring alongside an array of plants and flowers from the property. Heated outdoor infinity pools meanwhile look out over the hotel’s extensive gardens.
“At Il Salviatino, we are passionate about inviting our guests for an authentic Tuscan, unforgettable and inspiring stay,” says Alessandra Rovati Vitali, the hotel’s owner. “Combining the unique history of Florence with nature, wellbeing and traditional Italian gastronomy, we aim to curate an experience for guests to reconnect with themselves, and their loved ones, whilst experiencing a total sense of escapism. As a family-owned hotel, together with Edoardo and our team, I am proud to continue to set new standards for the finest hospitality here in Florence, creating a distinctive and luxurious experience for our guests throughout the year.”
