Wireflow by Vibia presents light through transparency
The light structure is formed by black electrical wire and 3W LED terminals, enhanced and transformed into the fundamental feature that distinguishes the unique collection. This simplifying process attains impressive physical presence, without losing weightless, ethereal consistence.
From artwork to versatile light fixture, Arik Levy’s previous experiments with light sculptures are based on wires acting as a source of inspiration, to create this vanguard cable lighting collection in collaboration with Vibia. The electrical wire draws geometrical shapes in two or three-dimensions that, in spite of their large size, allow a see-through effect providing a captivating graphic essence. According to Levy, Wireflow combines “presence and absence, transparency and luminosity, light and fluidity”.
Offering open design, the collection is customisable according to the creative and aesthetic needs of each project. In this way, the limitations in height or volume set by each space are overcome, as this lighting range can be stretched or squeezed to the designer’s taste. Architects and interior designers can experiment with endless configurations.
This latest proposal of customisable light fixtures adds on to other sculptural collections such as the Match and Slim, or the artistic Wall Arts, modular wall scones that dress walls with amazing light drawings. Aside from the results achievable in residential settings, Wireflow is especially suitable to light up wide spaces with special requirements in terms of height, such as hotels, restaurants and bars counters.
