Walter Knoll showcases Ozis’ Fishnet Chair

Walter Knoll has announced twelve new products and extensions to the range for 2016; including rediscovered classics of mid-century modernity and design icons by artist Sadi Ozis, co-founder of modernity in Turkey in the 1950s.

Standing as an innovative and classic concept within chair design, the Fishnet Chair features as part of the Sadi & Neptun Ozis collection.

The design utilises a classic form using woven fishnet between bent tubular steel framework, fashioning raw material such as wire and tin into a modest and timeless piece. The chair features an upholstered seat and back which has been further developed by Sadi Ozis together with his son, Neptun Ozis. Meanwhile, the side chair has lost nothing of its iconic charm, harking back to Ozis’ classic modernist Turkish design.

The Fishnet Chair is sculptural and modern in design, organic and functional in use, whilst presenting an elegant and sophisticated demeanour.
