Ultrafabrics has presented a refresh of one of its classic collections, Ultraleather.

Recognised for its supple touch, natural grain and lasting performance, the collection has received a contemporary update that sees the addition of ten new shades. These additions expand the offering to over 70 choices, ensuring its relevance in today’s design landscape and beyond.

From contract furniture and lounge seating in healthcare, RVs, marine and aviation settings, Ultraleather’s durability and ease of use unlocks a range of design possibilities. Timeless texture and soft touch are the range’s defining features, while the fabrics are also bleach cleanable and durable.

Ultraleather’s sustainable credentials have also been upgraded, with the fabric now containing over 50% rapidly renewable resources – a characteristic which all Ultrafabrics collections are slated to share by 2025.

“The new Ultraleather hues are inspired by the appreciation of colour nuances, otherwise known as colour sensibility,” says Nicole Meier, Director of Branding at Ultrafabrics. “We reflected on the enduring impact artists have had on colour application across design, and we thoughtfully introduce this selection of timeless, yet modern, shades into the Ultraleather palette. In a way, Ultraleather is the ultimate representation of what Ultrafabrics does: we create beautiful, durable fabrics that last. It’s one of our most popular collections so we thought it needed a little colour uplift for the 25th anniversary of the company.”

Ultrafabrics has made great strides since Ultraleather first launched in 1999, including partnerships with brands such as MillerKnoll, Fitbit, Jaguar Land Rover and Virgin Galactic. This year, Ultrafabrics celebrates its 25th anniversary and a quarter century of inspiration, with further sights on a long and inventive future.
