Timorous Beasties launches limited edition cushions
Glasgow design studio Timorous Beasties has unveiled a new range of limited-edition cushions.
The three new designs join the brand’s existing luxurious cushion collection. The bold new cushions are hand-printed on velvet, each with a fringed edge, creating a sumptuous and elegant aesthetic suited to a range of interior settings that has been designed to add new texture, colour and pattern to interiors.
Timorous Beasties, founded in 1990 by Alistair McAuley and Paul Simmons, is a specialist, printed multi-disciplinary textiles studio headquartered in Glasgow, with additional showrooms in London and Berlin. Offering a portfolio of well over 500 original designs, the brand focuses on hand and digitally printed fabrics and wallpaper designed in-house by its founders, then made in the UK.
Bespoke commissions in the brand’s portfolio include large-scale architectural and interiors projects for the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, Wellcome Trust and the UK Supreme Court, as well as brand collaborations with the likes of Fortnum & Mason and Harrods. Timorous Beasties prints are also held in collections at the Art Institute of Chicago, Cooper Hewitt Museum, NY, Gallery of Modern Art, Glasgow, and the V&A Museum in London.
