Sahco extends Home Collection
Sahco has further expanded its Home Collection, and is launching the fourth edition of its line of handmade cushions and plaids.
Seven different cushions feature, all with unusual production techniques and an interplay of different materials, such as the Bordino cushion, which is made from linen and both embroidered and trimmed with sequins. The Zobel cushion is made from a finely worked synthetic fur, originally developed for the fashion world; with its soft look and feel, it is intended to be reminiscent of sable fur. A plaid and a runner, available in different sizes, complete the collection.
Also launched this year by Sahco is their Residence Collection, which uses synthetic fibre, Trevira CS. The collection of five fabrics boasts all the desirable attributes of the material, which is known for its durability, colour-brilliance and flame-resistance. The Drake upholstery fabric, for example, which extends the range of premium basics, combines a strong weft yarn with a fine, dense warp to create an interplay of structures. The diversity of this range, however, is made apparent by the Plaza material, which features a graphic pattern on a transparent fabric, with slightly shiny embroidery yarn.
Both new lines can be seen at the Sahco showroom at the Chelsea Harbour Design Centre.
