Pedrali presents workspace designs at NeoCon

Italian manufacturer Pedrali has taken part at NeoCon in Chicago for the first time, showcasing seatings, tables and complements designed for the contemporary office through two different settings by Milan-based architectural studio Calvi Brambilla: an exhibition area on the seventh floor and Buddy Constellation, a special installation on the first floor.

The main element of the space was Buddy, a collection by Busetti Garuti Redaelli featuring poufs of different sizes, upholstered with fabric in warm shades from bright red to powder pink, which were hung and suspended in the air. On the ground floor, they created a waiting area, underlining their versatility and ability to meet various furnishing needs.

Within the exhibition area on the seventh floor, Pedrali presented its latest furniture solutions made from metal, wood, plastic materials and upholstery; each is the result of collaborations with Italian and international designers. Flexible and versatile working spaces, oriented to the wellbeing and creativity of the workers, were displayed through five settings that drew inspiration from modern office world.

The aesthetic quality of the Elinor executive chair designed by Claudio Bellini was coupled with the refinement of Ester armchair by Patrick Jouin, and the embracing Vic armchair by Patrick Norguet. The seats around Arki-Table, with its trestle legs, were joined by Ray, the freestanding coat-hanger by Pio and Tito Toso, which fuses the beauty of ash wood, with the functionality of an indispensable everyday object for a variety of interior spaces.

Meanwhile, the Arki-Table adjustable – which can be adjusted in height to meet user needs – was presented alongside the multitasking executive chairs Temps by Jorge Pensi, and Boxie, the storage system with wheels by Claudio Dondoli and Marco Pocci. The long side wall was furnished with Snooze, the sound absorbing panels designed by Marcello Ziliani, which are studied to increase the acoustic quality of office spaces.

Also on show was the Ypsilon tilting by Jorge Pensi, a stackable table with wheels and tilting top, which can be moved and stored away when not in use. To complete the setting, the Tweet seating collection by Marc Sadler, proposed with different frames and finishes, underlined the production capacity of the company and its ability to customise the products. Finally, the meeting room space combined the Babila table with armchairs by Odo Fioravanti, presented with ash wood legs and polypropylene or upholstered shell.

The four scenes were characterised by backlighted round walls, which were strung with light bulbs to pay tribute to the Italian company’s latest good projects. The last setting, in the middle of the exhibition space, consisted of a waiting area made comfortable by the soft lines and clean design of the Buddy poufs and tables by Busetti Garuti Redaelli.
