Museeum unveils Noble collection
Soft furnishings brand Museeum has launched The Noble collection, featuring pure and simple designs that allow its fine material and beautiful craftsmanship to come into their own.
With its particularly generous dimensions, the Noble Blanket is just right for wrapping up warmly – and also looks great draped loosely over furniture.
Its especially fine merino wool is a real rarity, shorn from sheep on the upland pastures of southern New Zealand and combed to a level of fineness that few woolgrowers are able to produce. This merino is, quite simply, one of the best wool fibres in the world.
The wool for this blanket is then dyed, spun, and woven in one of Germany’s remaining fully operational cloth mills in Bavaria’s Upper Palatinate region.
The beautiful soft, hand-made edging and ultra-fine merino wool of the Noble Cushion represents the perfect symbiosis of sensual materiality and graceful splendour, of the here-and-now with the best of times gone by.
In a small-scale passemanterie workshop in the eastern German region of Lausitz, where knowledge of and experience in lacemaking has been passed down the generations right through to the present day, the edging of the is hand-made on centuries-old machines.
Material and colours of the cushion match the Noble Blanket. The pillow filling is made of 100% virgin wool balls that keep their size and shape for a lifetime.
