Madera brings sleek wood design to Faraway Martha’s Vineyard
Madera has supplied its sleek wood finishes to boutique hotel Faraway Martha’s Vineyard.
Located off the coast of Massachusetts, the hotel’s classic New England bones were spotlighted by design studio Workshop APD, who brought in Madera to introduce its wood finishes throughout the property. Building on a long-standing partnership between Madera, Workshop APD and Blue Flag Partners, the flooring selection was seamlessly integrated into the overall interior design concept.
A 45° chevron pattern in European Oak was chosen for the lobby, selected for its durability and robust performance in damp, coastal climates. A two-toned combination of Atelier No. 003 and No. 007 finishes creates a vibrant and contrasting aesthetic, while the chevron pattern adds a sense of movement and energy to the space.
Natural Grade Atelier No. 003 is the flooring of choice in both guestrooms and hallways. The wide plank’s light brushed texture and natural variation complement the hotel’s interior design, with the planks featuring plenty of handsome character, including sound knots and cracks.
