Klafs creates mine-inspired sauna
Spa and sauna specialist Klafs has created a 5,500m² mine-inspired sauna village at the Siebenquell GesundZeitResort in Germany. Combining a modern approach to architecture with energy-efficient technology, the space comprises an Oriental hammam, mud bath and infrared room and ‘snow paradise’ in which guests can cool off with fine powder snow.
The installation further includes seven themed saunas – three outdoors and four indoors – which incorporate the traditional crafts of The Fichtel Mountain range where the resort resides. Meanwhile, the design scheme features an entrance lined by boulders and a striking backlit rock crystal vein.
