Jung releases new Corridor Unit
Hospitality solutions specialist Jung has launched its popular Corridor Unit in a high-grade glass version, enabling hitch-free communication between hotel guests and staff.
Joining a series plastic switch versions, the new pared-down glass models allow guests to activate ‘Do not disturb’ or ‘Make up room’ signs by means of coloured backlighting within the rocker, meaning rather than knocking to alert room occupants, visitors and staff alike can use a button. The symbols are only shown after the units are switched on, and are not visible in ‘sleep mode’, yet card readers can be integrated into the system.
Uniting future-proof technology and aesthetic design, Jung aims to perfect comfort for the guest, enable greater cost-effectiveness and energy efficiency for the operator, and provide efficient working procedures for staff – not only in guestrooms, but also in the public areas and restaurant spaces.
