Hypnos The Eden Project

Hypnos collaborates with The Eden Project for HIX installation

British bedmaker Hypnos is launching its first contract specification mattress in collaboration with the Eden Project at HIX’s 2024 edition.

The event, held between 27-28 November in London, will see the brand unveil Harmony, a high-quality and durable handcrafted mattress made with natural materials.

Using 1200 ReActiveProä pocket springs with Hypnos edge protection for hotel specification edge-to-edge support, Harmony is capable of withstanding contract use, while its natural filling layers set it further apart. With fibres from banana, orange and pineapple, as well as ethically sourced cotton and RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) British wool, the turnable mattress is responsibly crafted in Britain. Harmony is also BS 7177 and Crib 5 compliant and 100% recyclable at end-of-life through the brand’s recycling scheme.

To mark the launch, Hypnos is welcoming visitors on Stand 28 to experience a ‘mini oasis’ amidst the bustle. Immersing them in nature’s soothing power, the setting features other British manufacturers harnessing sustainable materials and biophilic design, including Newmor Wallcoverings, mood lighting by Chelsom and bespoke carpets from Ulster.

“We’ve been handcrafting luxury beds in Britain for 120 years and we’re proud to be making over 100,000 hospitality beds annually, importantly using sustainably and responsibly sourced materials,” says David Baldry, Group Managing Director of Hypnos. “The launch of Harmony in collaboration with the Eden Project is another mark of our commitment to doing things better, for people and the planet, such as being certified carbon neutral with Planet Mark since 2011 and making sure that we do everything we can to deliver hoteliers sleeping comfort with integrity.”
