Forbo launches Marmoleum Solid
Forbo Flooring Systems has launched Marmoleum Solid, a contemporary new linoleum collection comprising five ranges of sustainable and resilient solutions.
Created from 97% natural materials 43% upcycled content, the range is made using linseed oil and wood flour amongst other raw components. The introduction of the Marmoleum Cocoa range goes further, by adding a seventh natural ingredient: cocoa shells from a Dutch chocolate producer.
The result is a rich and organic scattering that introduces a new tactility for Marmoleum. Elsewhere, the Marmoleum Slate range features an embossing dimension inspired by natural textures and the aesthetics of stone. The strong natural shades available provide visual interest, whilst remaining understated across all ranges.
Julie Dempster, Marketing Manager at Forbo Flooring Systems, comments: “Marmoleum Solid is a contemporary collection that sits perfectly with today’s desire for more solid visuals and raw tactility. The concept of which is designed to combine beautifully with other building materials such as wood, glass and metal. Marmoleum Solid shows that linoleum floor coverings have the capacity to move beyond the classic marbled structures and encourage designers to consider using it in spaces such as retail, leisure and hospitality and offices, where other finishes are often more predominant.”
