Expormim updates Gres stool
Expormim has updated its Gres outdoor stool – first designed by Miguel Milá in 1962 – emphasising its tangent lines and organic frame for a new audience.
With a structure made of peeled natural rattan, and a finish boasting a three-step coating of dye, base coat and topcoat, Gres is both resistant to the elements and an unconventional aesthetic feature.
Born from a chance encounter at the Expormim factory, what was originally intended as a new rattan chair design instead ended up shaping two new products, with Gres being the stool and Gata its rattan chair counterpart. Gres is available in high and low versions, and with an upholstered seat.
