Erik Jørgensen joins forces with Fredericia Furniture
Last year Fredericia Furniture A/S acquired Erik Jørgensen Møbelfabrik A/S to form one strong Danish design company under the name Fredericia Furniture A/S.
While the brands will continue to be marketed separately, both companies have grown out of a strong design heritage, and share a passion for good design as well as solid, sustainable craftsmanship.
Together under one name, the two traditional furniture manufacturers represent a strong collection of Scandinavian design icons. Across product categories and expertise, the brands complement well, enabling them to offer a strong and wide selection of products.
Hans J. Wegner’s Ox Chair, Børge Mogensen’s Spanish Chair, Erik Jørgensen’s classic sofas, and Nanna Ditzel’s Trinidad Chair are just some of the iconic Danish furniture designs that will be part of the new Fredericia Furniture.
The merger will also help secure a continued production of Danish quality design in Denmark.
“We wish to present a combined collection with two brands that complement each other – both in terms of design and market approach,” says Rasmus Graversen, Head of Design & Product Management at Fredericia Furniture. “Even though Fredericia and Erik Jørgensen will remain as two brands, we will of course leverage the synergies that arise in production, sustainability, distribution and branding. The two brands will be based on a common culture within a unified company.”
