Marcel Wanders designs Secret Gardens range for Devon&Devon
Devon&Devon presented its Secret Gardens collection, designed by Marcel Wanders, at Maison&Objet. The collection, which originally debuted in January 2023, includes wallpaper in four different designs, small and large ceramic slabs, a vanity table, three mirrors and a range of ceramic accessories.
Designed with a holistic approach by Wanders’ studio, the nature-inspired pieces feature seamless, flowing designs throughout, which can be used to create serene, dreamlike spaces.
The Blossom wallpaper showcases a delicate garden as it comes into bloom, designed to celebrate the power of nature, the beauty of flowers and their symbolic strength as a message of growth and vitality.
Meanwhile, the result of an exploration focusing on wellness and serenity, the Zen wallpaper has been envisioned as a “garden created by the mind”, able to open up new perspectives on reality through design. Moving in a different direction, Urban is a wallpaper which stylises and celebrates the beauty of social cohesion that runs through city life.
The Secret Gardens collection includes ceramic slabs, available in the same designs as the collection’s wallpaper, mirrors and furniture. Helpfully, the large format of the slabs (120×240 o 60×120 cm) means fewer grout lines, facilitating an aesthetically clean design.
The collection’s vanity table is available in seven designs and shades, a rationalist design form transformed into an unexpected visual experience, with the table’s wooden frame covered with a vinyl film that has been applied by hand.
The Secret Gardens collection by Devon&Devon also includes a modular triple-glass mirror (available full-length, half-length and individual), as well as a velvet and brass pouf and a range of ceramic accessories.
