Dernier & Hamlyn expands studio capabilities to meet designers’ needs

Bespoke lighting manufacturer Dernier & Hamlyn has added 3D printing to its studio services.

The expansion of the studio’s capabilities is part of the company’s continued investment in the latest technology to provide the best service to its designer clients.

Although newly installed, the 3D printer is already being used extensively to produce patterns, prototypes and elements of light fittings.

“We have used externally produced 3D printing as part of what we offer our clients for some time,” explains Mark Harper, Dernier & Hamlyn’s Head of Design. “Having this facility within our own studio means we can provide a much more flexible and fast service which is key to our focus on quality and high levels of customer service.”

In addition to 3D printing, Dernier & Hamlyn’s range of services includes bespoke lighting, lighting design, lighting installation, restoration lighting and reproduction lighting. These services demonstrate the company’s commitment to each project from concept to installation.
