Cultivating hotel experiences with Laufen at HIX 2022
Dynamic, creative adaptions in response to new behaviours and client expectations provides the foundations for Laufen’s participation at HIX, taking place in London from 17-18 November 2022.
With global roots in the production of superior quality, innovative bathroom products and more than 130 years of craftsmanship, Laufen is presenting a rebirth of the design classic ILBAGNOALESSI, whose design heritage is arguably the ultimate in sustainable design, alongside the Limited Edition collection, SPACE.
Back to the future with ILBAGNOALESSI
At HIX 2022, Laufen presents the evolution of ILBAGNOALESSI designed by Stefano Giovannoni, lightening its form thanks to the use of Saphirkeramik, while introducing furnishings that combine workmanship of the highest quality with the most advanced materials and technologies for the bathroom environment.
Originally launched twenty years ago during Milano Design Week 2002, ILBAGNOALESSI is the result of collaboration between the Alessi Italian design factory and Laufen that together have created an iconic collection, which reinvented the bathroom archetype. Thanks to Saphirkeramik, a high-performance material that becomes a link between past and future, it has been possible to design new washstands and washbasins with ample, soft and fluid forms, which seem to be almost weightless. The distinct, organic form of the iconic Tuna washbasin has been accentuated with a new light, slim profile only possible through the material innovation, Saphirkeramik. The new freestanding bathtub, made with Sentec, takes its cue from the form of the washbasins and is presented in a new coffee colour. A special highlight, in the truest sense of the word, comes in the furniture which includes an innovative frame structure made of black aluminium, which accompanies the mirror and furniture as a connecting element and whose illumination creates an atmospheric ambiance.
The digital transformation
Embracing technological advances and utilising the expertise built from over 130 years of craftsmanship, Laufen presents SPACE, the reimagination of standard products with a series of Limited Edition design collaborations. Exciting material finishes to invigorate the guest experience, including bohemian textured ceramics by Marcel Wanders Studio stand alongside digitally-printed faucets and washbasins by Swiss artist Monique Baumann and trend setting new colours for ceramics and bathtubs.
