Designed in collaboration with Patternity, London-based pattern experts and designers, Cosentino has revealed its new Dekton Liquid collection.
The brand commissioned Anna Murray and Grace Winteringham, Founders of Patternity, to create a range that embodies its Dekton material.
Inspired by fluidity, each of the individual colours are aesthetically innovative and touch on the future of global trends.
The resulting range comprises three subtly marbled designs: Liquid Sky, a swirling, marbled pattern which celebrates the scientific principles of fluid dynamics; Liquid Shell, celebrating subtlety and honouring what lies beneath the waves in the ocean; and Liquid Embers, which represents a meeting point between fire and liquid, a space that lies deep beneath the Earth’s surface.
True to Patternity’s ethos, the products’ concept centres around the beauty of nature, environmental awareness and sustainable design practice.
“This is the first time we’ve worked on this type of surface and on this scale,” Murray comments. “Cosentino’s values are very aligned with our own, from working sustainably to being conscious about the design.”
“Working with Cosentino, there have been lots of opportunities to share our research and the thinking about our designs,” adds Winteringham. “Cosentino has really given us the space to delve deeply with the theme and the idea of how important liquid is.”
