Bouroullec unveil Stampa for Kettal
Stampa, the new contemporary seating collection designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Kettal showcases innovation in furniture design.
With Stampa, Bouroullec have developed a full-blooded aluminium armchair combining several aluminium manufacturing techniques.
The injection-moulded ring connects the stamped seat, the back and the hydro-formed legs and reinforces the whole shell. A calyx shaped metal shell is inhabited by carefully organised holes made by the technique of punching metal sheets. Through this technique, Bouroullic have created delicate shapes that recall textile sensations and are robust enough to stand the test of time even in an outdoor environment.
The concept was to create a chair that would change organically with use over time, contrasting the sturdy composition of the chair with a natural wearing effect on its exterior.
The chair comes in two versions, perforated or plane with an additional seat cushion available on request.
All versions are available for outdoor or indoor use.
