Blueair urges hotels to consider air purifiers following the easing of restrictions

Air purification expert Blueair has urged hotels to take the health and wellness of their guests into consideration following the easing of restrictions by investing in air purifiers.

“When you learn that indoor air can be up to five times more polluted than outdoor air, investing in air purifiers for hospitality venues becomes a very sensible and important investment for those preparing to re-open,” explains Michael Westin, B2B sales manager for Blueair. “Our compact, quiet, and stylish Blue Pure 411 air purifier can be found in every guest room in the central London boutique hotel, Page8, and their staff and clients have seen the benefits first-hand.”

Westin adds: “The future of hospitality and hotel design surrounds the health and wellness of guests so when choosing an air purifier for your venue, it is important to look for the right credentials as well as its performance.”

The newly launched HealthProtectTM is Blueair’s most advanced air purifier to date and is the ideal solution for those concerned about their health and wellness. Combining three new revolutionary technologies, the HealthProtectTM air purifier provides protection against viruses and bacteria, even on standby. HealthProtectTM 7400-series air purifiers HealthProtectTM uses HEPASilent UltraTM, Blueair’s most advanced filtration technology to date. This technology combines electrostatic and mechanical filtration to remove up to 99.97% of airborne pollutants such as dust, pollen, dander and mould. The technology removes VOCs (including formaldehyde), odours and nanoparticles down to 0.03 micron and removes up to 99.99% of viruses and bacteria. HealthProtectTM 7400-series air purifiers remove 99.99% of live airborne SARS-CoV-2 virus in controlled biosafety level 3 lab testing.

A YouGov survey commissioned by Blueair found that there is consumer demand for clean air hotels, with 54% of Brits considering air quality to be important when choosing a hotel.

One hotel that is going above and beyond for its guests is London-based hotel Page8 which opened its doors last year and opted to place an air purifier in every room of its hotel.

“Every little thing we do is to improve the experience of our guests – even if this is invisible,” says Philip Chan, Project Development Manager of Butterfly Hospitality Group explains why Page8 has opted for air purifiers and the importance of clean air for both guests and hoteliers. “All 138 rooms, from single to family rooms, are equipped with a Blueair air purifier to ensure our guests are breathing the purest air throughout their stay. Using a Blueair air purifier that removes airborne pollutants will go a long way towards helping our guests stay healthy by breathing cleaner air.”

Experts from the Swedish brand Blueair tested the difference in air quality before and after using an air purifier in the rooms of Page8 Hotel. Thanks to the efficiency of Blueair’s unique HEPASilentTM filtration, the particles were reduced by 96% after using an air purifier for only one hour.
