Bette reveals Oval Couture
Bette has announced the UK launch of BetteLux Oval Couture, an upholstered bath and washbasin duo. Set to be revealed at Clerkenwell Design Week, the release will mark Bette as the first bathroom manufacturer to exhibit at the event.
The design concept of an upholstered bath was presented at last year’s Salone del Mobile, and Bette has since collaborated with designer Dominic Tesseraux to develop the idea into an original collection. Glazed in titanium steel, the bath and floor-standing washbasin have been upholstered in a comfortable yet durable fabric and is available in four colour options.
German specialist JAB Anstoetz has upholstered the collection in a woven fabric usually present in high quality outdoor furniture, resistant to water, mould and damp climates.
Alex Howard of Clerkenwell Design Week comments: “We are excited to welcome Bette to our showcase of the best international design brands in Design Fields. Their inclusion is testament to a commitment to innovation and boundary pushing design.”
CDW will also be the first UK exhibition to feature the BetteLoft Ornament bath, a large freestanding piece that features a pared-back yet expressive exterior and statement embossing. A wall-hung washbasin with the geometric pattern is also available, in two sizes and pattern options.
