&Bespoke marks debut with Edition One
&Bespoke will launch later this year at its Hampshire gallery and creative studio, showcasing furniture pieces from its debut Edition One collection. Comprising 14 pieces, the range features a classic dining chair; crafted bench; Windsor-style armchair; curvaceous sofa; modular shelving unit; and several coffee and dining tables, each combining natural timbers and raw materials.
Established by furniture designers Roger Bannister and Steven Owens – the latter former Head of Design at British woodworking brand Benchmark – &Bespoke will collaborate with a network of highly-skilled craftsmen to deliver tailor-made interior products, calling on more than 25 years’ experience to produce pieces in a variety of materials and finishes.
“When it comes to design, the creative process and journey are every bit as important as where you get to in the end. Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do,” comments Owens. “Partnering with Roger feels like the perfect fit and we can’t wait to show our new collection to the world. As a brand, we are all about working in partnership with people and this feels like the perfect partnership. There are also many talented craftspeople in the UK and with our collaborative approach, we can’t wait to create beautiful things together.”
Bannister, who set up Elderberry Furniture in 1994, adds: “Part of the culture we’re looking to create here at &Bespoke is a sense of collaboration and exploration of the creative process, which is underpinned by exceptional design and quality.”
