Bert Frank wins ‘Best Space Only Stand’ at Decorex 2024

British lighting brand Bert Frank was named the ‘Best Space Only Stand’ at the latest edition of Decorex.

To mark the brand’s 10th year at the London design trade show, Bert Frank created two immersive exhibition spaces, the Renaissance stand and The Making Of stand, each highlighting the artistry and craft behind its products.

The larger exhibit of the two, the Renaissance stand drew inspiration from Romanesque architecture, reflecting the structural and lighting aesthetics of the 10th to 12th centuries. Key features included the centrally positioned Eos chandeliers, elegant wall-mounted lighting fixtures and seven Italian early Renaissance-inspired angels by artist Caroline Rose, displayed in a semi-circular apse area that evoked the stained-glass windows of medieval churches.

The aesthetic of the stand was mirrored in Bert Frank’s lighting designs. Geometric shapes, torches and Farol lighting were displayed to create a contemplative, introspective environment, providing a sense of refuge and representing a bridge between past symbolism and modern design.

The Making Of stand was intended to showcase the makers’ creative processes and the intricate craftsmanship behind each Bert Frank design, inviting visitors to explore the creative journey behind each product.

Featuring a preview of new designs launching in 2025, the stand featured the Bide wall light, with two new sizes that were introduced in Summer 2024. Other products on display included the Masina range of table lamps and wall lights, and the Colt Hexagon and Octagon chandeliers.

A prominent wall feature on the stand was inspired by British artist Ben Nicholson, showcasing the brand’s palette of colours and textures. The use of Unilin brushed-bronze laminate and double-chain-link archways created a sense of lightness and transparency, while highlighting Bert Frank’s signature luxurious finishes.

“We are delighted and humbled that our 10th year at the show can be marked with being awarded such an accolade,” says Michael Evesque, the brand’s Managing Director. “The journey to create both stands was ambitious, but I am delighted that, together, they showcase the essence of Bert Frank.”
