Barlow Tyrie expands Cocoon collection
Barlow Tyrie has unveiled a new addition to its Cocoon collection, created by international design house Astheimer. A new design for 2023, the Cocoon Ottoman – which consists of a teak frame, circular legs and deep cushions – joins the pre-existing Cocoon Settee and Cocoon Armchair.
The Cocoon seating collection sees design features like curving backs, teak legs and hand-wound chalk colour rope come together to make an array of contemporary furniture pieces.
The Cocoon Settee and Armchair feature a powder-coated aluminium frame with a distinctive curved back and arms, covered in braided Chalk olefin all-weather cord, with circular arm-height teak legs and a teak front. Supplied with a seat cushion, the Settee is made up of three large rectangular back pillows, two medium square back pillows and one small square scatter cushion – available in various Sunbrella Rain® fabric colours. Meanwhile, the Armchair is supplied with one large rectangular back pillow, with an optional scatter cushion also available.
Manufacturing since 1920, Barlow Tyrie is the world’s oldest teak outdoor furniture manufacturer, and remains a family business in its third generation. Renowned for its luxury outdoor furniture, the brand commits itself to pursuing the highest standards in materials, manufacturing and aftercare services.
