Twenty2degrees opens Johannesburg studio
Hospitality interior design practice twenty2degrees has announced the opening of a new studio in Johannesburg, which will find home in the heart of the city’s design-centric district of Kramerville.
“We see this investment as demonstrating our commitment to the African continent,’ says Nick Stoupas, founder and Managing Director of twenty2degrees. “For now, we will be continuing to lead our work in Africa from our London studio but our team on the ground in Jo’burg will be well placed to handle ongoing project development, monitor progress on site and open-up local sources of supply.”
The move follows the firm’s increasing expansion into sub-saharan Africa, which currently sees their work featured across a Hyatt Regency and a Hyatt House Hyatt Place, both in Nairobi, and a luxury hotel complex in Cameroon.
twenty2degrees was founded in 2012 by Nicholas Stoupas, who was joined a year later by Joe Stella. The brand’s recent projects include The Dixon and Hyatt Regency Olympia, both in London; JW Marriott Berlin; Marriott hotels in Budapest; and The Wyndham Grand Algarve.
